On the last day of school, we had the privilege of celebrating our 2026 retirees: Mrs. Jeannie Wampler, Mrs. Marcia Politte, Mrs. Jo Anna Aubuchon, Mrs. Tracy Nissen, and Ms. Dawn Frankenbach. Each of these remarkable women has made a lasting impact on our school community through years of dedication, compassion, and service. Their contributions have helped shape the success of our students and strengthened the Kingston family in countless ways.

Mrs. Jeannie Wampler concluded an incredible 27-year career as our High School/Junior High Librarian. During our retirement celebration, her longtime coworker, Mr. Don Moss, shared heartfelt words about the positive influence she has had on students and staff and how greatly she will be missed. Throughout her career, Mrs. Wampler served in many roles, including ELA teacher, Junior Class sponsor, and librarian, touching the lives of generations of students. Thank you, Mrs. Wampler, for your years of dedication and the difference you've made.

Mrs. Jo Anna Aubuchon devoted 20 years to caring for our students through food service. She did far more than prepare meals—she created a welcoming atmosphere where every student felt seen, valued, and cared for. Her kindness, strong work ethic, and genuine compassion made a lasting impression on both students and staff. Her legacy of service will always hold a special place in our school family.

For 25 years, Mrs. Tracy Nissen faithfully served our district as both a bus driver and food service employee. Whether safely transporting students each day or greeting them with a warm smile in the cafeteria, she approached every responsibility with kindness, reliability, and care. Her commitment to our students has left a lasting mark, and we are deeply grateful for her years of service.

After five years of dedicated service, Mrs. Marcia Politte retires with a legacy of pride, dependability, and hard work. Her attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond helped ensure our school remained clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone who walked through its doors. Although much of her work happened behind the scenes, its impact was felt by the entire school community.

Ms. Dawn Frankenbach retires after seven years of compassionate service as our school nurse. She provided exceptional care while supporting the health and well-being of both students and staff. Whether offering comfort during difficult moments or responding with professionalism and kindness each day, Ms. Frankenbach's calm presence made a meaningful difference in the lives of so many. She will always be remembered as a valued member of our Kingston family.

Please Note: Ms. Dawn Frankenbach is not pictured, as she retired in March 2026 and was unable to attend our end-of-year retirement celebration. Although she couldn't be with us for the recognition, we are grateful for her years of compassionate service and wish her all the best in retirement.

To each of our retirees, thank you for your years of faithful service, your unwavering commitment to our students, and the countless lives you've touched along the way. We wish you all the happiness, relaxation, and new adventures that retirement brings. Congratulations, ladies—you have truly earned it!

Bus 4 is leaving campus and will go southbound and run the route essentially backward. We ask all families to watch for your students now as their arrival times will be different than normal. Any students living on 21 north of campus may not be able to be dropped off due to traffic backed up. In that case, those students will be returned to school and families will be contacted.

This message is for families with students attending summer school at Kingston K-14 School District. Highway 21 northbound is currently closed just north of campus due to a trash truck that is on fire. This will delay us releasing students on BUS 4 ONLY. All other buses that travel south on 21 from campus will dismiss at the planned time of 12:15 and students should arrive with minimal delay. Students who ride bus 4 are being held at school until the northbound route is open. We will send an updated message when that bus is able to leave campus.

For Coach Hill's visitation tomorrow evening, we will be taking a bus from Kingston to Kutis Funeral Home in St. Louis County (just north of Grant's Farm) and any current or former student, athlete or parent of one of Steve's students may ride to go and pay their respects. We are offering this as the funeral home is about an hour away from Cadet and we know many may not have a way to go, or may just want to ride the bus with others in Steve's memory. The details:

-If your student is younger than 16, a parent will need to accompany them.
- Bus will leave the Kingston parking lot at 3:30 PM
- Bus should arrive at the funeral home around 4:30 PM, depending on traffic
- Bus will load up between 5:30-5:45 and leave promptly at 5:45 to return to school
- Bus will return to school between 6:30-6:45 depending on traffic.
- Parents/Guardians MUST be at school by 6:30 to pick up students. We will not have extra staff here to supervise students to wait for a ride.

If you are interested in riding the bus, please comment on our Facebook post or call us at 573-438-4982 ext. 5.

Due to strong storms in the area, buses for summer school will be delayed this morning. We will still run every route but we are having drivers wait to begin their routes and will update when that changes.

At the May Board Meeting, we had the honor of recognizing three outstanding students for their bravery, compassion, and quick thinking during a recent medical emergency involving a fellow student.

Their calm actions, willingness to step in, and care for others truly reflect the very best of our school community. We are incredibly proud of these students for going above and beyond when it mattered most.

Please join us in congratulating: Hadley Dicus, Olivia Boyer and Olivia Johnson!

Thank you for your courage and for being shining examples of Cougar pride!

We want to inform the community that we do have first responders on campus due to a student medical issue. This is not an emergency situation involving school safety. As always, the privacy of our students and families is important, so we will not be sharing additional details. School operations are continuing as normal, and we appreciate everyone’s understanding and support.

Kindergarten Graduation!!

Our phone lines are down again and we are working with Brightspeed to get this external issue addressed as quickly as possible. We are unsure of the cause yet, but the last 2 times it has been due to theft of copper wire in the Cadet area, which requires finding the location of the disrupted lines and replacing them. We are working on a long term solution to this that will make our phone system run completely through our internal server, and this work will be completed soon so we stop having this issue.

In the meantime, you may reach the Central Office on a backup line at 573-854-6000 and we will relay messages to the buildings. You may also email each building at:

We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience.
