Thank you for being guides through endless shelves of knowledge, for helping us find exactly what we didn’t even know we were looking for, and for creating spaces where everyone is welcome to learn, explore, and grow.
In a world full of noise, you help us discover meaning. In a world full of questions, you help us find answers.
Happy Librarian Appreciation Day to the keepers of stories, champions of literacy, and protectors of knowledge 💛

Mrs. Heuer dedicated more than 30 years of service to the students of our district before retiring, impacting generations through her work as a teacher and volunteer. Mr. Heuer was also a familiar and supportive presence in our schools and community through his volunteerism.
This loss has deeply affected our school community, including many staff members who worked alongside Mrs. Heuer and the Heuer family. In addition, Mr. and Mrs. Heuer are the parents of Dr. Jennifer Boyster, Assistant Superintendent, and Mrs. Suzanne Merklin, Assistant Principal. Closing school on Monday will allow our staff and community the opportunity to honor their lives and support the family during this difficult time.
Classes will resume as scheduled on Tuesday, March 17. We ask that you please keep the Heuer, Boyster, and Merklin families in your thoughts and prayers, and we thank you for your understanding during this difficult time.

The School Board Scholarship Committee is hosting a Trivia Night Fundraiser to raise money for scholarships for our graduating students — and we need your help!
We are currently collecting items to create raffle and silent auction baskets for the event. Donations such as:
• Gift cards
• Merchandise
• Services
• Themed basket items
would be greatly appreciated!
This fundraiser directly supports local students as they continue their education after graduation. Your generosity truly makes a difference in their futures.
✨ Businesses that donate will be recognized during the event and in our event materials as a thank you for supporting education in our community.
If you are able to contribute or would like more information, please contact:
📧 Bonnie Daugherty – daugherty.bonnie@k-14.org
📧 Chris Massey – massey.christopher@k-14.org
📅 Donations are due by April 2nd.
Thank you for helping make this event a success and for supporting our students!

Kingston School District Families and Staff:
There will be no school tomorrow, Wednesday, February 18, 2026, due to a water main break. An unmarked water line was struck by the crew constructing our softball field.
The line will be repaired tomorrow morning, and we hope to resume classes on Thursday with appropriate water safety precautions in place.
Tomorrow will be an AMI (Alternative Methods of Instruction) day for students. Specific instructions from your child’s building will be shared soon in a separate message.
We understand this is an unexpected inconvenience and appreciate your patience and flexibility. Please know we are doing everything we can to restore normal operations as quickly and safely as possible.
Thank you for your continued support.
Due to a water line break, Cougar College and all after-school activities are canceled today, February 17th.
All students will need to take their regular mode of transportation home.
If you have any questions, please contact your child’s building secretary.
Thank you for your understanding.
