💛 Random Acts of Kindness Day is almost here! 💛
Shayley’s Angels first approached our local county with a special request: to designate August 31 as Random Acts of Kindness Day (RAOK). After receiving an incredible response, they took their mission to the state capitol—and RAOK Day was officially declared a statewide holiday!
This year’s theme is “RAOK: The Old-Fashioned Way,” featuring beautiful old-fashioned quilts covered with “patches” representing kind deeds needed throughout our community. These acts may include bringing the mail to an elderly neighbor, pulling weeds, lending a helping hand, or simply brightening someone’s day.
Want to participate? Choose a patch from the quilt and complete the act of kindness! There are also RAOK Good Deed Cards available for individuals and families who would like to spread kindness in their own special way.
August 31 is a day to pause the hustle and bustle of everyday life and make an intentional effort to care for our neighbors. We never know who may be struggling in silence—and one small act of kindness could change someone’s entire day or even make a much greater impact.
The most beautiful part is that we may never fully know how far that kindness travels. 💛

Kingston K-14 School District is excited to announce that we have been awarded the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) Grant for the 2026–2027 School Year in an amount of up to $21,438.45!
Through the FFVP, students in grades K–5 will have opportunities throughout the school year to enjoy a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables at no cost.
🍊 Who can participate?
Any child in grades K–5 who is present when the fresh fruits and vegetables are served may participate.
The Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program is about more than providing a snack. It introduces children to a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables and helps show them that these foods can be healthy, delicious alternatives to snacks high in fat, sugar, or salt.
We are excited to continue providing our students with opportunities to taste, explore, and enjoy fresh foods while building healthy habits that can last a lifetime!

We are doing parking lot repairs and upgrades on a few of our lots over the next several days. For JH/HS registration the rest of the week, the 2 large parking lots in front of the JH/HS will be closed down. If you are coming to register, we ask that you park at the high school gymnasium lot, enter through the gymnasium, and proceed down the hallway and ramp to the high school commons area.
Additionally, the 2 lower lots at the Primary/Elementary are also receiving some TLC and will be closed to traffic for the next several days. Anyone needing to visit the Primary/Elementary please park in the upper lot areas and proceed to the office.

📢 2026–2027 Kingston F.A.R.M.S. Mobile Market Distribution Schedule
The Kingston K-14 School District is proud to partner with the St. Louis Area Foodbank to bring the F.A.R.M.S. Mobile Market to our community, helping provide nutritious food to Kingston residents in need.
📅 Please save these tentative distribution dates for the 2026–2027 school year.
🕘 Pickup begins at 9:00 AM.
🚦 Please do not arrive before 8:00 AM. School buses use the lower parking lot to drop off students. Arriving early may delay bus traffic and create safety concerns.
💚 All Kingston residents in need are welcome to participate, whether or not they have children attending Kingston Schools. No income verification is required.

Open House will be August 20th from 3:30- 7:30 pm. The first day of school is August 24th.
School Supply List PK-5th Grade
New students to Kingston Elementary will need to come to the elementary and primary offices to enroll. Please bring proof of residency, driver’s license, the child’s birth certificate, and shot records. We will be available starting August 5th from 8 am to 2 pm.
