Kingston School District is pleased to announce the Kingston Community Teacher Association, is hosting a "Meet and Greet" event for the candidates running for the Kingston K-14 Board of Education. The event will take place on Thursday, April 3rd, 2025 beginning at 5:30 pm at Kingston High School Library. The event is free and open to the public. This community-oriented event offers local residents an opportunity to meet the candidates, ask questions, and learn about their platforms, priorities, and vision for the future of the school district. Attendees will have the chance to engage in informal conversations with the candidates and hear firsthand about their ideas for improving education, supporting students and teachers, and strengthening the community. “Public involvement in the school board election process is critical to ensuring that our education system reflects the values and needs of the community. Thank you to our KCTA for sponsoring and organizing this event.” said Dr. Mike Golden, Superintendent, Kingston K-14 School District. “We encourage all parents, educators, and concerned community members to come out, meet the candidates, and make an informed decision when it’s time to vote.” The event will feature brief introductions by each candidate, followed by an open forum for a short Q&A. Refreshments will be provided, and attendees are encouraged to come prepared with any questions they may have about the candidates' qualifications and plans for the school district. Event Details: • Date: Thursday, April 3rd, 2025 • Time: 5:30 pm • Location: Kingston High School Library • Cost: Free and open to the public For more information about the event or to submit questions for the candidates in advance, please contact Dr. Tana White at white.tana@k-14.org.
