Some bus routes may be delayed this morning due to flooding as we use caution in getting our students to school safely. We have driven roads and moved some debris from some roads and most of our routes are passable at this time. Drivers will use caution and if there are any questionable areas routes may be slightly altered.

Our water main has been repaired and we will be back in session tomorrow Thursday February 19, 2026. We will operate under the rules of a boil order until we get results of a water test back. We will provide bottled water for students, and we ask that all families who can to send a bottle of water with each student. Thank you.

Kingston School District Families and Staff:

There will be no school tomorrow, Wednesday, February 18, 2026, due to a water main break. An unmarked water line was struck by the crew constructing our softball field.

The line will be repaired tomorrow morning, and we hope to resume classes on Thursday with appropriate water safety precautions in place.

Tomorrow will be an AMI (Alternative Methods of Instruction) day for students. Specific instructions from your child’s building will be shared soon in a separate message.

We understand this is an unexpected inconvenience and appreciate your patience and flexibility. Please know we are doing everything we can to restore normal operations as quickly and safely as possible.

Thank you for your continued support.

Kingston Junior High 8th Grade Students Explore Careers at Manufacturing Day
On Friday, February 6, a group of Kingston Junior High 8th grade students had the opportunity to attend Manufacturing Day at MAC Tech, where learning went far beyond the classroom walls.
Students participated in hands-on, real-world experiences across multiple career pathways, gaining insight into the skills, teamwork, and problem-solving used in today’s industries.
Throughout the day, students rotated through the following areas:
Automotive
Construction
Machine Tool / Engineering Technology
Manufacturing
Agriculture
Welding
HVAC
From working with tools and equipment to exploring technical systems and trade skills, students were actively engaged and exposed to career options that power our local and regional workforce.
Experiences like this help students connect classroom learning to future opportunities and begin imagining where their interests and talents might take them next.
👏 A big thank-you to MAC Tech and all of the instructors who made this impactful day possible!
