MAJHAA Baseball Bracket 2026
Due to the tragic passing of longtime Kingston educator Mrs. Susan Heuer and her husband, Mr. Henry Heuer, the Kingston School District will be closed on Monday, March 16 so that our faculty, staff, and community members may attend the funeral Mass and pay their respects.

Mrs. Heuer dedicated more than 30 years of service to the students of our district before retiring, impacting generations through her work as a teacher and volunteer. Mr. Heuer was also a familiar and supportive presence in our schools and community through his volunteerism.

This loss has deeply affected our school community, including many staff members who worked alongside Mrs. Heuer and the Heuer family. In addition, Mr. and Mrs. Heuer are the parents of Dr. Jennifer Boyster, Assistant Superintendent, and Mrs. Suzanne Merklin, Assistant Principal. Closing school on Monday will allow our staff and community the opportunity to honor their lives and support the family during this difficult time.

Classes will resume as scheduled on Tuesday, March 17. We ask that you please keep the Heuer, Boyster, and Merklin families in your thoughts and prayers, and we thank you for your understanding during this difficult time.

Some bus routes may be delayed this morning due to flooding as we use caution in getting our students to school safely. We have driven roads and moved some debris from some roads and most of our routes are passable at this time. Drivers will use caution and if there are any questionable areas routes may be slightly altered.

Our water main has been repaired and we will be back in session tomorrow Thursday February 19, 2026. We will operate under the rules of a boil order until we get results of a water test back. We will provide bottled water for students, and we ask that all families who can to send a bottle of water with each student. Thank you.

Kingston School District Families and Staff:

There will be no school tomorrow, Wednesday, February 18, 2026, due to a water main break. An unmarked water line was struck by the crew constructing our softball field.

The line will be repaired tomorrow morning, and we hope to resume classes on Thursday with appropriate water safety precautions in place.

Tomorrow will be an AMI (Alternative Methods of Instruction) day for students. Specific instructions from your child’s building will be shared soon in a separate message.

We understand this is an unexpected inconvenience and appreciate your patience and flexibility. Please know we are doing everything we can to restore normal operations as quickly and safely as possible.

Thank you for your continued support.
